Telework Exchange, Cisco, and WebEx hosted a Webcast, titled "Telework as a Continuity of Operations Strategy" on March 13, 2008. Department of Labor discussed how they successfully implemented telework as an integral component of their continuity of operations strategy.

  • How Department of Labor is implementing COOP strategies and the role of telework in those plans
  • How technologies can simultaneously enable telework programs and also benefit COOP planning
  • Scenarios that require telework as part of an integrated response plan
  • How Department of Labor is testing networks, staff, and management processes to improve agency preparedness for COOP and other unexpected eventualities that impact routine operations
  • In addition, Cisco will discuss telework-enabled solutions as well as provide insight on how agencies can incorporate these technologies as part of their COOP plan
