Telework Exchange - A Public - Private Partnership Focused On Eliminating Telework Gridlock

Telework Exchange and Adobe hosted the 2011 Telework in a Box complimentary event series.

Telework Exchange and Adobe hosted the complimentary Telework in a Box event in Atlanta, Georgia, on Tuesday, June 7, 2011. Government agency and industry professionals discussed telework best practices in telework management and technology. The event focused on the requirements of Public Law 111-292, the Telework Enhancement Act of 2010, and addressed key considerations when establishing a telework program. Panelists also discussed how to manage a distributed workforce and leverage collaborative technologies that support a telework environment.

    The first session, Building and Managing a Robust Telework Program, included Shyam Reddy, U.S. General Services Administration, Shelly-Ann Simpson, Georgia Department of Transportation, and Allison Tanner, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Panelists discussed how to overcome management resistance and technology obstacles as well as the importance of a mobile workforce.

    The second session, Leveraging Telework Technology, included Cindy Auten of Telework Exchange, Bobby Caudill of Adobe, Randee Cook, of the Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration, and Glenn Trent, of the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission.
