Telework Exchange and Adobe hosted the complimentary Telework in a Box event in Denver, Colorado, on Wednesday, May 18, 2011. Government agency and industry professionals discussed telework best practices in telework management and technology. The event focused on the requirements of Public Law 111-292, the Telework Enhancement Act of 2010, and addressed key considerations when establishing a telework program. Panelists also discussed how to manage a distributed workforce and leverage collaborative technologies that support a telework environment.

Government-agency and industry professionals attended the Telework in a Box event in Denver, Colorado on May 18 to discover best practices in telework management and technology.
Attendees interacted with the panelists during the panel discussions by sharing experiences and asking questions.
Josh Sawislak, Telework Exchange Senior Fellow, provided opening remarks, in which he discussed telework progress and the requirements Telework Enhancement Act of 2010.
The first session, Building and Managing a Robust Telework Program, provided attendees with insight on how to address management resistance and offered alternatives for developing a telework program.
Panelists of the second session, Leveraging Telework Technology, offered their recommendations for obtaining management buy-in for establishing and expanding sustainable telework programs, implementing telework-enabling technology, and ensuring information security for the remote workforce.
Peter Ryce of Adobe provided an interactive presentation to demonstrate how Adobe Connect can be used by agencies and the benefits of using virtual personal offices.
